for Abstract Submission
Selection
of papers for presentation will be based on detailed abstracts of minimum 200
words and maximum to 1,000 words. Abstracts must include a clear indication of
the purpose of research, methodology, major findings, implications, and key
references. The author(s) should clearly mention under what area of the
conference the abstract is to be included. The authors should adhere to the
following:

Abstracts will undergo a blind review and
only those approved by the reviewers will be selected. A soft copy of the
abstract in Microsoft Word for Windows should reach the conference coordination
committee by December 05, 2008. The electronic copy should
be mailed to icom2009@skpatel.org
Authors will be notified of acceptance by December 08, 2008. Acceptance of the
abstract implies that at least one of the authors will attend the conference
and present the paper. In case a paper is submitted for presentation in
absentia, a processing fee of Rs 250 extra in
addition to registration fees would be charged.
Guidelines
for Submission of Selected Papers
Two copies hard
and soft each in Microsoft Word of the paper selected for presentation at the
conference will have to be submitted to the conference coordination committee
by December 30, 2008. The electronic version of the paper should be sent to icom2009@skpatel.org. Papers
must include a clear indication of the purpose of research, methodology, major
findings, implications, and key references. Authors should adhere to the
following

Font Times New Roman, 12 point

Synopsis Not more than 200 words and a maximum of
four key words
For references,
footnotes etc. authors should use the style of any Indian Management National Journal. Formulae, figures and
tables should be placed in the text.
Abstracts of papers selected for
presentation would be published as proceedings of the conference. Some of the
papers may be published in S. K. Patel Institute of Management and Computer
Studies National Journal after due review process.
Criterion For
Evaluation By The Reviewers

Relevance: Does the subject of the paper appeal to the interests of the
conference attendees?

Applicability: Does the paper bridge the gap between theory
and practice?

Credibility: Does
the paper present credible and accurate information?

Methodology: Does the paper use sound and appropriate
method(s)?

Organization: Does the paper follow a definite direction
and clear organization?

Originality: Does
the paper add new findings, insights, or knowledge to the body of literature?

Research: Does the paper compare and weigh the
material against the work of others?

Conclusions: Are the conclusions sound and justified?

Managerial
Implications: Is the managerial relevance and implications
of the decision problem demonstrated?

Registration
Registration fee of Rs1,000 per participant should be sent latest by, December 15, 2008, through a demand
draft/banker's cheque in favour
of "I-COM 2009” payable at Gandhinagar.
For students, the fee would be Rs 500 and For
Industry Delegate 1500. Registration fee will include break fast, lunch,
dinner, conference kit and a copy of the conference proceedings.
The registration form should be
sent along with the conference / workshop fee.
Note: Those who require Accommodation
facility have to pay Rs.300/- in addition to the registration fees.

Paper Award:
All
participants will be given participation certificate and outstanding papers
judged by eminent personalities will be given special awards.
Invited
Speakers:
The
conference would invite presentations in each of the four sub-themes by eminent
personalities. Also, the penal discussion will be chaired/ conducted by experts
in the respective fields.
We will organize a pre-conference
workshop on January 5, 2009. this workshop is open to
all including delegates of I-COM.
